This professional development program trains teachers to use art in their daily instruction. 

We worked with the Harvard Cultural Agents Pretext program on a pilot in LA with 25 incredible teachers at Youth Build Charter School, a social justice focused school for 16 to 24 year olds.

We believe this program is the most effective, scalable way to gain access to and connection with children who are challenged by standard educational models. It brings art into children’s every day learning and demystifies the most complex of subjects.



Pretexts provides a way to infuse art into every day instruction while also improving academic results for all students by simplifying difficult subjects. It engages students in learning and increases attendance and graduation rates.
